’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Nicole Says It’s ‘Highly Likely’ That She and Azan Will Get Married in 2019

Nicole and Azan already have a bad track record. As fans recall from season 3 of TLC’s hit spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever Afer?, they called off their wedding twice during Nicole’s last visit to Morocco.

Nicole traveled to Morocco last season and stayed with Azan in his home country for about three months with the plans to tie the knot.

Since Azan’s K-1 visa into the United States was denied, the couple’s only other option to be together in America legally was for Nicole to marry Azan in Morocco, then apply for a spousal visa so that he could travel to the United States as the spouse of an American citizen.

So Nicole obtained a tourist’s visa for Morocco, which allowed her to only stay in the country for 90 days. Within those 90 days, Nicole planned to marry Azan, after which she would have been allowed to stay in Morocco longer than 90 days as his spouse, and they would stay there until his spousal visa was processed.

But the couple had to postpone wedding after Nicole learned that she did not bring the proper paperwork necessary to obtain a marriage license in Morocco. They postponed the wedding until Nicole’s family could bring the paperwork for her from America when they arrived in Morocco to attend the wedding on the new date.

They continued to plan their wedding, but as the new date got closer, Nicole and Azan started to feel the pressure of wedding planning. During one particular scene where they met with a caterer, the couple realized that the wedding they wanted would cost a lot more than they expected.

So they decided to call off the wedding indefinitely. At the time, Nicole told her family that the reason was that they decided it would be better to take the $6,000 they saved for their wedding and invest it by starting a business together, a beauty shop in Morocco. But Nicole later admitted that it was a lie, and they never had $6,000 to begin with.

Nicole said the real reason why they decided to call off the wedding is because of timing. “Too much pressure not enough time or money. You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Do it in the right moment and it wasn’t the right moment yet,” she wrote on Instagram back in April.

But just because Nicole and Azan called off the wedding doesn’t mean they don’t want to get married. Almost as soon as Nicole got back to America from her extended stay in Morocco, she started to plan for their next wedding date, which will be sooner than fans expect.

Nicole took to her Instagram Story on Saturday, June 8, to answer some fan questions.

“Is it true about the wedding this summer?” the fan asked Nicole.

“Probably not this ‘summer,’ but this year is highly likely 😊,” Nicole responded.

A source previously revealed to Life & Style, Nicole is planning to head back to Morocco soon to finally marry Azan.

“One of her sisters is getting married at the end of June,” an insider said. “And she says she’s going back to Morocco once that wedding is over with.”

“Nicole’s parents and siblings have no plans to join them,” the insider continued. “They already lost a lot of money on plane tickets” from her two previously canceled weddings.
