Welp, we all saw this one coming! 90 Day Fiancé stars Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez are officially calling it quits after only six months of marriage. According to multiple reports, Molly had already filed for divorce from Luis on January 23 and the reason why it was hard to confirm that she had submitted paperwork was because she had taken Luis’ last name when they married so she filed under “Molly Mendez.”
According to the divorce documents obtained by Reality Blurb, Molly and Luis tied the knot on July 20, 2017 and they officially separated on Jan. 5, 2018 — so they were just shy of being married for six months when they split. Molly listed the reason for their divorce as “the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”

Luis was served with the documents on the same day that the paperwork was filed, which was on Jan. 23 — and now Luis’ social media behavior over the past couple of months or so makes sense. He first hinted at a divorce from Molly in the comments section of a Snapchat selfie that he posted to Instagram. When a female fan asked him for his Snapchat username (probably so she could slide into his DMs), he alluded to the fact that he wouldn’t give out his username to women out of respect for Molly since they were still legally married at the time.
“I can’t give my social media now bc [sic] she is divorcing me, and I have to respect now but when she [is] done about that [sic] I can give it,” he wrote.

He was still living in Molly’s home state of Georgia until about Jan. 16, and one day after he was served with the divorce papers, he went on a rant about TLC because they wouldn’t pay him for appearing on Season 5 of the series. He has since moved from Georgia to New Jersey and has been living with his brother since his split from Molly.
