Jon and Rachel captivated viewers while appearing on season 2 of the hit spinoff, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.
Fans got to witness the pair fall head over heels in love, but unfortunately they faced a tough hardship along the way. Jon has a criminal record, which slowed down his plans to move outside of his native country.
The dynamic duo previously met with an immigration attorney and Jon explained why he believed the K-3 visa (a nonimmigrant spousal visa) was a better option than the K-1 visa for them. At the time, the attorney agreed that either a K-3 visa or the immigrant visa processing was their best bet.
“I usually recommend immigrant visa processing, [which is] basically going straight towards a green card. However, with your record, you’re really looking at upwards of three years processing time. You guys are really staring down the barrel of a long time of separation without being able to start your lives together,” the attorney said back in March.
Despite the circumstances, Rachel and Jon have proven their love goes the distance. In her new post, she gushed over how much he’s changed her life for the better.

“Two years ago, today, I walked into the arms of my future husband, for the first time,” the TLC alum wrote. “I will never forget that day (partially because it was on TV and I can watch it whenever I want to) … It’s a memory I will never forget and one I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will never take us for granted. I can’t wait until you’re here with me every day and night and I promise you, I will remind you every day how much I love you.”
Jon also posted his own heartwarming message to ring in the special occasion.
“Two years ago today I met my future wife and daughter underneath the clock in Paddington station. @rachelwalters01 thank you for believing in me and seeing the man, husband and father could become,” he wrote. “When I said ‘I’ve always loved you’ I meant it and I always will, you’re the best part of my day — one day the ticket will be one way.”
