’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars David and Annie Just Welcomed a New Family Member: “She Was Born at 4 a.m. Thai Time”
It looks like theres a new arrival in the Toborowsky-Suwan family! 90 Day Fiancé star David took to Instagram on July 26 to reveal that he and wife Annie have welcomed a new baby… water buffalo!
“We are so excited to announce the arrival of our new Baby Water Buffalo,” David wrote in the caption beside a photo of the adorable newborn. “She was born at 4 a.m. Thai time. (Thursday) I guess this is the interest payment on my dowry!”
David was alluding back to one of the biggest points of contention between him and Annie’s family: the traditional dowry. Originally, Annie said that her family expected him to pay $2-3 million Baht, which comes out to around $60,000-$90,000 in U.S. dollars, for her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, David was broke, unemployed, and allegedly homeless when he met Annie, so that wasn’t possible.
Instead, David gave her family two water buffalo and $1500 USD, which comes to 50,000 baht. Obviously, this was a huge financial strain on David, but fans loved that he could make fun of the serious situation and laugh at himself.
“Your sense of humour is not reflected on the show,” said one fan. “Your posts are the very funny! Take care and I wish you both the best.” Another chimed in, “LMAOOOOO!!!!! The interest… I’m deadd.” Meanwhile a third agreed, “You are too funny lol.”
Still, some fans weren’t laughing. “Joking about your unpaid dowry great… those poor people…” said a hater. “Kinda messed up that the water buffalo have already reproduced before you even paid off the rest of the dowry. Smh,” said another.
Despite financial trouble, Annie and David are now living in Kentucky, and still seem head-over-heels for each other. David admits that Annie had trouble adjusting becauase she hates American food, so she found a local market and makes amazing food for them. We wish them (and the buffalo) the best!
