He’s got jokes! Even though 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star David Toborowsky is part of the TLC franchise, he seems to be a fan of the show too, and he’s been following along on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Which would mean that David — just like the rest of us — is completely enthralled by Ricky and Melissa’s storyline. Fans were almost convinced that Ricky’s Colombian blonde bombshell online girlfriend was a catfish, and David poked fun at the fact that Ricky might have gotten catfished by pretending to reveal the catfish’s true identity.

Of course, we’re sure David’s joke was all in good fun especially because (SPOILER ALERT) fans learned last week that Ricky’s girlfriend Melissa is actually real and she’s not a catfish. Thanks to clever editing on behalf of the production crew, the previews made it seem like Ricky had traveled all the way to Colombia just to get stood up by his online girlfriend. It didn’t help that Melissa basically ghosted Ricky after he told her that he bought a plane ticket to finally meet her in person.

Even though Melissa started to become distant with Ricky and wasn’t responding to his texts, Ricky still boarded the plane and almost as soon as he touched down in Colombia, he headed out for his first dinner date with Melissa. Ricky had made plans to meet Melissa at the restaurant at 7:30, but she made him wait almost two hours until she finally showed up — and even though she said she kept Ricky waiting because she was “busy,” she seemed to be glad that they finally met in person.
