Just kidding! 90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Martson has become a fan-favorite on the show, and many viewers were heartbroken for her after last week’s episode when Ashley opened about her husband Jay Smith‘s cheating scandal. Fans rallied around Ashley and decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to raise money so that Ashley could pay for a divorce or annulment from Jay, and she took to Instagram to address the GoFundMe page in a funny way. Watch the video above to see what she said and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

She got a ton of backlash from haters who criticized her for making light of the GoFundMe. Many of them mistook Ashley’s joke as her actually asking fans to send her money via Venmo, so Ashley updated the caption to make it super clear.

“READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!!!! And this is what we call a ‘JOKE,'” she wrote. “But if you insist and continue to bash me for asking for money (because you can’t read) then here you go! Ashley-Martson-1 #tlc #90dayfiance #illtakefreemoney #peoplehavetoomuchtimeontheirhands.”

The actual GoFundMe, titled “Help Ashley Send Jay’s Cheating A– Back To Jamaica,” was created on Saturday, Dec. 29, and the goal was set at $50,000. It seems like one of Ashley’s fans set up the page and wrote in the description: “After [two] failed engagements and a disaster wedding where she ended up hitched to two-timing Jay, our girl deserves true honest love with the man of her dreams. Let’s help her get there by raising money for her divorce/annulment fees and get Jay’s butt sent back to Jamaica for good.” As of publication, the campaign did not receive any donations.

Fans were upset after the emotional scene on last week’s episode where Ashley revealed that she caught Jay FaceTiming with another woman late at night. After confronting the other woman herself, Jay admitted that he created a Tinder account just one day after they returned from the elopement wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, and he had been using it to talk to other women — and he even planned to meet up with one of them.
