‘7th Heaven’ Actress Sarah Goldberg, 40, Found Dead of Natural Causes
It’s been a rough day for the 7th Heaven family.
Just hours ours after it was revealed the show’s patriarch, Stephen Collins, was under investigated for child molestation, it’s been confirmed that one of his former co-stars, Sarah Goldberg—who went professionally by the name Sarah Danielle Madison—has passed away.
On Sept. 27, Sarah, who portrayed Matt Camden’s (Barry Watson) wife on the WB show, was found dead at her family’s cabin in Wisconsin.
An autopsy failed to determine the cause of death, but it’s suspected to be from a heart condition, the Chicago Sun Times reports.
“She went to sleep and didn’t wake up,” her mother told the outlet.
Sarah starred in several TV shows including Judging Amy, Without a Trace, and House. She also nabbed roles in My Best Friend’s Wedding and Training Day.
7th Heaven made headlines today after TMZ released leaked audio footage of Stephen, 67, allegedly confessing to child molestation. His estranged wife secretly recorded their therapy session as he allegedly admitted to exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl “a couple of times” until she was 13.
