Once Perez Hilton received medical care for his “suicide attempt,” he reportedly uttered three words to his family.
“I need help,” the gossip blogger said, according to an insider close to the family. While speaking to the Daily Mail, the source said he is “really suffering.”
“He’s a man in a lot of pain,” they added. “I think right now he’s focused on the physical, but it’s all tied together. No one deserves the torment he’s going through.”
The source went on to say Perez is currently “stable and alert.” While accompanied by his mother, Teresita Lavandeira, in the hospital, he was “able to articulate himself.”
“But I don’t think he’s quite self-aware enough yet [to understand exactly what happened],” the source mentioned. “He’s still in a dark place as I understand it. Just very very sad.”

Perez was hospitalized on Tuesday, August 4 after going live on TikTok and appearing to show self harming efforts. Clips quickly began to spiral showing Perez naked and covered in blood in the middle of what authorities have since categorized as a “suicide attempt.”
Page Six reported multiple units “responded” to the “active police scene” while additional units were told to “stand by.”
About 20 minutes after responding to the scene, units were able to “make entry into the house with police” and give Perez the medical attention he needed.
In the latest statement shared by his loved ones, it was revealed that his sister, Barbara Lavandeira, niece and three kids were at his residence just hours before the incident.
“When it became clear that Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself,” they had all “immediately fled to protect” the kids “from witnessing any further trauma.”
