Kendall Jenner’s Controversial Pepsi Ad — Find out Why People Are Angry
It’s normally Kendall Jenner’s sister Kylie Jenner that causes the controversy, but Kenny is the latest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan to be in hot water.
After Pepsi released a protest-themed commercial starring the model, people all over Twitter were up in arms, saying the company was making light of serious issues.

The ad shows a group of young people carrying signs with various phrases like “Join the conversation” marching through the streets. Kendall then enters the scene and offers a police officer a can of Pepsi, resulting in massive applause from the protesters.

The backlash stemmed from people regarding the ad as trivializing to the Black Lives Matter movement. And it, no doubt, caused many celebrities to give their two cents.

“Assuming everything that can be said about faux-test Pepsi ad has been said so I’m just gonna go with this: it didn’t make me want Pepsi,” actress Lena Dunham wrote on Twitter.

Kendall has yet to respond herself, but Pepsi did pull the ad, though they’ve affirmed they had no intention of causing controversy.
“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark and apologize,” Pepsi said in a statement. “We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout.”
