Zooey Deschanel took to the stage at last night's Emmy awards after cutting her bra off to present an award.

Emmy Award nominee Zooey Deschanel hit the red carpet last night wearing a stunning Cinderella-esque dress and Emmy-themed nail art, but what viewers couldn’t see was the wardrobe malfunction that happened just before she hit the stage.
“I had to cut my bra off!” Zooey told In Touch. “Part of it was showing, so Lauren — my publicist — and I cut part of it off.”
Apparently the New Girl star was about to head onstage with Jim Parsons to present the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, when she had to take bra matters into her own hands.
When asked if she was scared about “the girls” popping out, Zooey said, “No. No, I wasn’t. I wouldn’t wear that kind of dress, but I didn’t want my bra to show!”
Regardless of her scissor session before the show, we’re confident Zooey made the right choice with her icy blue, tulle gown by Reem Acra. “I tried on about six dresses and I liked this one,” Zooey gushed about her ensemble. “I actually tried it on in a beige color. I don't like beige, so they made it in blue for me.”
