So what exactly are we chanting for? According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, everyone’s favorite funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are slated to host the Golden Globes for the next two years!
Earlier this year, the gal pals hosted the award show for the first time, and were met by the highest viewership since 2007; it was speculated that the SNL alums would return—and Tina confirmed that they were asked back at the Emmys red carpet.
“Have you asked Amy yet, because we literally said we’re going to talk about it tonight because we haven’t seen each other yet,” Tina, 43, told Ryan Seacrest.
She went on to confirm that NBC did reach out the her and Amy, 42, but that they had not committed to anything.
However, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association—who presents the Golden Globes—confirmed to THR that we’ll be getting servings of the dynamic duo in the years to come.
“We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years,” HFPA president Theo Knigma told The Hollywood Reporter. “Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year.”
