Its official: Tan Mom is in rehab— and it's not just for booze.
New Jersey native Patricia Krentcil, 45, also known as the “Tanning Mom,” has recently entered rehab for “alcohol and Xanax” abuse, a source close to Patricia tells In Touch exclusively.
Following a string of inebriated appearances, Patricia checked into Lukens in Palm Beach, Fla. – the same Lukens that Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan has had experiences with in the past on his infamous daughter’s behalf.
Tan Mom’s representative confirmed with In Touch that “Patricia is at Lukens” and that “She went in on her own accord; it was not mandated in any way.” She is under the staff’s close supervision and is “expected to be there at least 28 days.” Surprisingly, she is focused on making the program work for her.

Michael Lohan expressed his approval of Lukens and the efficiency of their program: “I'm really thankful that there has been press that has made it possible for people to hear about Lukens and that it has enabled people to reach out to the staff there and have their recovery needs met.”
Surprisingly, it was actually Michael who suggested Lukens to Patricia, a mutual friend who “went to the same high school and [was] in the same class” as his brother, says a source.
Let’s hope Tan Mom’s treatment gets her to think more about her health than she has in the past – that includes her ultraviolet overexposure.
