The Duke and pregnant Duchess of Cambridge will surprisingly spend most of the day apart, before reportedly celebrating in private later this evening.
This morning, Kate, who is the Royal Patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, arrived at Naomi House Children’s Hospice in Hampshire for a visit. Wearing a short peach dress by Dressmaker, a coat by Tara Jarmon and nude pumps, the mommy-to-be was greeted by fans with open arms.
Yesterday, Kate marked the beginning of Children’s Hospice Week by recording her first video message, which you can view below.
So how did Kate and Wills spend their anniversary last year?
They attended a wedding! The duo enjoyed Kate’s Marlborough College school friend Hannah Gillingam’s nuptials that Sunday— the perfect way to celebrate everlasting love.
Kate, 31, and William, 30, first met while studying at the University of St. Andrews. After years of on and off dating, the pair got engaged in October 2010. They married in Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. This past December, they announced that they would be expecting their first child together.
“It's very special to me. As Kate's very special to me now, it was right to put the two together,” Wills has said about proposing with his late mother’s (Princess Diana) ring. “It was my way of making sure my mother didn't miss out on today and the excitement, and the fact that we're going to spend the rest of our lives together."
The couple are expected to welcome the royal baby in July.
