Modern Family star Julie Bowen did not have a glamorous time getting ready for the Emmys last year — and hopes the situation will be different this time around.
"I have three beautiful children who dictate my day, and last year, one threw up in me and on me... in my mouth," the actress told In Touch at the Audi and Derek Lam Emmy Kick-Off party in LA on Sept. 16. "He was two. So hopefully not that again!"
The actress also revealed one of her kids decided to play with — and break — her coveted Emmy award, which she won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series last year.
"My children think the Emmy is an action hero or a toy, so I put it with the rest of their toys and that is in their playroom," she said. "'Miss Emmy' is ogled by Tickle Me Elmo. Unfortunately, my eldest son, Oliver, thought it looked a lot like a golf ball being held up by a giant tee, so he took it outside... He broke it. He tee'd the ball - he hit the ball off the tee of the lady."
Julie has Oliver, 5, and twin sons, John and Gustav, both 3, with hubby Scott Phillips, whom she married in Sept. 2004.
This is the third straight Emmy nomination for the star.
