Kristin Cavallari’s got her hands full juggling her family, a trendy jewelry business and in-demand shoe line, but if it were up to her fiancé, Jay Cutler, she’d be a stay-at-home mom.
“Jay wanted me to stay home and be a traditional wife, but after he saw that I needed to have my own thing going on, he understood that I had to branch out and grow,” Kristin recently told PowerwomanTV host Amy Palmer at the Chinese Laundry showroom (see below). “He knew it would make me a better mother and wife."
Kristen, 26, and her footballer fiancé, Jay, 29, welcomed a son, Camden, in August 2012. But for Kristin, who is currently the designer for KC Jewelry Collection and KC Shoe Collection, the ambassador for Chinese Laundry and the curator for OpenSky, her family will always come first.

"My child and family are my 1st priority and I would give it all up if I had to choose between business and family,” Kristin says.
And while the former Laguna Beach star enjoys having a full plate as a businesswoman and mom, she says there’s one thing she’s going to encourage Camden not to do when he grows up— football!
"I will try to steer Cam in a different direction, maybe a sport that isn't so aggressive," she said in January. "Maybe baseball -- something where he doesn't have to get hit."
Perhaps the now 8-month-old tot will grow up with an entrepreneurial itch, just like his mommy!
