There’s a ton of pressure on Hollywood starlets to be pin thin and perfect, but some of today’s biggest A-listers, like Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson, are ditching their glam squads and Spanx— and proving they’ve got body flaws just like the rest of us.
Drew Barrymore: The Charlie’s Angels actress isn’t worried about a little bit of leftover baby weight. The 5-foot-4 actress, 38, gained 40 pounds while pregnant with her daughter, Olive, but would rather spend time with her baby than the elliptical. “I’m never going to be that person who talks about diet and exercise,” she says.
Katy Perry: The singer may ooze confidence on stage, but the 5-foot-8 star has admitted to struggling with body image issues. “I think it’s important for young kids to see that you don’t have to be perfect,” says Katy, 28. “It’s been a process, but now I’m accepting of myself.”
Jennifer Lopez: Forty three-year-old J.Lo prides herself on not being “your typical tall and thin type of star.” The curvy singer admits, “I’m not a size 0 or 2,” but that’s okay. “I feel awesome!”
Kelly Clarkson: “I’m never trying to lose weight or gain it— I’m just being,” Kelly, 31, has said. And the newly-engaged songstress has gotten some flak for her weight gain recently, but she’s not letting it get to her. “I have no desire to be super skinny,” she says.
Mary J. Blige: The 5-foot-6 singer has battled with her weight in the past, but thankfully, no longer struggles with the way she looks. “I don’t have what everyone else has,” she says. “But whatever I have, I’m going to make it work.”
And we have to say…we think they all look fabulous.
