Nori’s dad flew Kim’s big family to San Francisco, where he popped the question the AT&T Park!
He rented the home of the San Francisco Giants, where he asked Kim to “PLEEEASE MARRY [HIM]” on the big screen!
He then got down on one knee and asked Kim to be his wife with a giant rock, that’s reportedly a 15-karat sparkler done by Lorraine Schwartz (who also did the engagement ring that ex-husband Kris Humphries gave Kim)!
Kanye and Kim were first spotted together in March 2012—before her divorce from the NBA star was finalized, and stepped out as an official couple a month later. In Dec. 2012, Kanye announced the pair were expecting a child, and on June 15, 2013 Kim gave birth to a happy and healthy baby girl, named North.
Throughout their relationship, Kanye has always been vocal about the kind of passionate love he feels for Kim.
“Family time, it’s what Kim gave me,” he said during a now-infamous interview on BBC 1. “She gave me everything. She gave me a family. She gave me a support system. She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find."
Similarly, when Kim sat down to film Oprah’s Next Chapter in June 2012, she also gushed to Oprah about how happy she was with the relationship.
“We’ve been friends for like six or seven years,” she revealed. “It’s very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you, that respects you, understands, has gone through similar things.”
This is the first marriage for Kanye, while this is the this the third marriage for Kim; she was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2003, as well as a short-lived marriage to basketball player Kris, which lasted 72 days in 2011.
Congrats to the happy couple!
