It’s been 5 months since Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey coast, but it’s destruction is far from gone— and for the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore, it’s still hitting close to home.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Vinny Guadagnino recently teamed up with New York Giants player Justin Tuck to lend a hand in Sandy relief efforts as a part of MTV’s alternative Spring Break, which they’ve dubbed “Spring Fix.”
On March 21, fifty college students were joined by the reality stars and NFL defensive end to rebuild a house on Staten Island— an opportunity the three celebs were proud to be a part of.
In typical Snooki fashion, the new mom’s construction attire included red wedge-heeled boots, a leopard-print hat and a leather jacket. Construction chic!
Stylish Snooki and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast will continue their efforts to rebuild the area by heading to Six Flags on March 24 where they’ll work the boardwalk games at the park. All proceeds from the day at Six Flags will benefit the United Way.
But this isn’t the first time the famously wild cast has stepped up to Sandy. In Nov. 2012 the crew hosted Restore the Shore, which encouraged people nationwide to contribute to the rebuilding of Seaside Heights.
"Over the last few years it feels like Seaside Heights has become my second home," Vinny shared. "My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by this disaster in seaside and all across the northeast. I'm here to support in any way I can."
We're so glad to see these stars haven't forgotten their roots.
