Honey Boo Boo is a TV star, but her mom fears what fame could bring.

After Alana Thompson, aka “Honey Boo Boo,” became the breakout star of Toddlers & Tiaras, she and her wacky clan were handed their own show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
But the TLC show became such a hit that Alana’s mom, June, tells In Touch she’s worried about people coming out of the woodwork to stake a claim.
June — who reportedly had her four girls by four different fathers — recently heard from Jessica’s long-absent dad.
“He hadn’t wanted to deal with Jessica for 15 years, and all of a sudden the show comes out, and he’s father of the year,” June tells In Touch in an exclusive interview, adding that she believes he only reached out to his daughter “because she’s famous.”
While she says Jessica brushed the man off, it was still upsetting to June, who worries that others may try to use her family for money.
June says she’ll fight to make sure none of her kids are taken advantage of.
