Two years after Bill Horn and Scout Masterson became proud adoptive dads to their daughter, Simone, the men known as “The Guncles” to their BFF Tori Spelling (her affectionate term for the beloved “gay uncles” to her kids) have big news.
“We’re ready,” Bill tells In Touch exclusively, “to adopt again.”
Scout and Bill — whose saga unfolded on Oxygen’s Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood — feel more prepared this time around. Scout, 38, admits he was often reduced to tears during the long wait for a birth-mother match. Bill, 40, recalls that in their darkest moments, the men wondered, “Why not us?”
But encouragement from Tori kept them going — and just weeks after she assured them, “Don’t worry, your baby will find you,” the LA-based couple got a call from the New York State woman who would eventually deliver Simone. “It felt,” says Scout, “like talking to an old friend.”
Now the Guncles, who are smitten with their budding fashionista (and tackling potty training!), are ready to do it all again. Says Bill: “We can’t wait for Simone to be a big sister.”
