Jessica Simpson walked down the aisle today … but it wasn’t as a bride. The singer was celebrating the nuptials of her best friend CaCee Cobb to actor Donald Faison.
A friend close to CaCee confirms to In Touch that the pair are officially husband and wife.
The wedding took place Dec. 15 at the LA home of Donald’s best man, Zach Braff, who starred with the groom in the hit comedy series Scrubs. Jessica acted as the maid of honor to her former assistant turned best friend.
CaCee, godmother to Jessica and Eric Johnson’s daughter, Maxwell, and the Clueless actor announced their August 2011 engagement cleverly over Twitter.
“If you like it then you better put a Ring on it. –Beyonce,” Donald tweeted, copying lyrics from Bey’s chart-topper “Single Ladies.” Cacee re-tweeted her fiancé’s message, along with an announcement for their fans. “If she likes it then she better say YES!!” she wrote.
The stars lived it up on Thursday night during CaCee’s bachelorette party, but CaCee’s sidekick Jessica likely abstained from the cocktails, as the star is reportedly pregnant with her second child.
And CaCee will be the first to admit that she hopes her life with Donald turns out to be the happy ending Jessica has found with Eric and Maxwell.
“I tell my fiancé, I’m like, ‘You’re gonna be like that with our kid, right? 'Cause I’d be devastated if you weren't!’" she one admitted of Jess and Eric’s super-parent abilities. “She is really trying to be the best mom that she can be, and she’s in such a happy place that you can’t even compete with her.”
And even though she says there’s no competition, we’re pretty confident CaCee has just found her own happy ending.
