It’s the engagement that no one saw coming – mostly because no one even knew they were dating!
In Touch can officially confirm that Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger are engaged! Chad popped the question on Aug. 8 with a 14-carat diamond ring.
While their engagement comes as a shock, reports say that the couple began quietly dating this past February after they teamed up to co-write a song for Avril’s upcoming fifth album.
This will be the “Sk8er Boi” singer’s second walk down the aisle – she filed for divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley in 2009 after three years of marriage.
