Uh oh. It looks like Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Zayn Malik aren’t on the same page when it comes to their relationship! A source tells In Touch exclusively that the Victoria’s Secret model is ready to get engaged, but that her musician beau wants to wait a little longer.

“They’ve been dating for two years and have been living together,” the insider reveals. “Gigi wants to marry Zayn. She feels that he is the one and is ready to take their relationship to the next level.” But the former boy-bander, who’s been open about his struggles with anxiety “doesn’t feel ready.”

It doesn’t help that Gigi, 22, is feeling the pressure ever since her ex boyfriend Joe Jonas proposed to his girlfriend of less than one year, Sophie Turner. Gigi is over Joe, but news of her ex’s engagement has made her “wants the same level of commitment from Zayn.” the source shares.

Unfortunately for her, the 24-year-old needs a little more time. “Zayn loves Gigi,”the source says but “would rather wait another year before getting engaged”

It’s not surprising that the “PILLOWTALK” singer is being cautious. As fans know, he previously popped the question to Perrie Edwards from the band Little Mix at the tender age of 20, but the duo broke up two years later. Their split was plagued by cheating rumors, which Zayn denied. “To make matters worse, there were so many crazy stories flying around in the newspapers about us, and it felt like such an invasion of privacy, it made me just want to disappear for a while,” he explained in 2016.

But the Brit seems to have found his groove with Gigi. In an interview with Us Weekly last month, Zayn dished about their normal relationship. “We both cook, so we like to make meals for each other. I make chicken and sweet corn pie. She likes that,” he said. And they “try not to think about” the fact that they’re dating in the spotlight. “I just concentrate on my relationship and try to do right by my girlfriend and she does by me, and we hope for the best, as we all do!”
