Back in our school days, we would dread history class. Our teacher was rickety, smelled like mothballs, and prattled on and on in a monotone voice. But in fashion, history is anything but boring.
Take for instance the story of Italian fashion house Moschino. Franco Moschino, the designer, started his career as a simple illustrator under Giorgio Armani. Twelve years later, the designer began his eponymous line that today is loved for its quirky irreverence and Italian craftsmanship. Moschino Hippy Fizz is a celebration of all things past and present Moschino. The eau de toilette is housed in a whimsical, carefree bottle but the sparkling fragrance inside features a complex combination of top notes (lemons and tart raspberries), rounded off by a floral bouquet of violets, magnolia and lotus.

Back in our school days, we would dread history class. Our teacher was rickety, smelled like mothballs, and prattled on and on in a monotone voice. But in fashion, history is anything but boring. Milliner Henri Bendel opened a little shop in New York which today is a mecca of premier luxury. Purveyor of the chicest looks around, the store now produces a new line of exclusive jewelry. The Henri Bendel 1907 Enamel Bangle features signature metal harness trim, an ever-so-discreet "HB" logo, and just like the Lalique windows found in the flagship store during original construction, a hidden striped design on the underside.
So after all these years, it turns out we really love history! (Well, fashion history at least!). Now if only we could go back in time and give our teacher a makeover...
