We can’t even tell you how many nights we’ve stayed up at night thinking to ourselves, “How in the world is Willow Smith going to follow up the musical masterpiece that is ‘Whip My Hair’?!”
And now we can finally rest easy — because the 14-year-old has released the music video for her new single, ‘F Q-C #7.’ And yes, it’s just as weird as you’d expect.
What a tough act to follow… (Photo Credit: Giphy.com)
Apparently you pronounce the title of the song “frequency number seven” because when you’re Willow Smith, rules of the English language don’t apply.
This is either because she’s a ~FrEe sPiiRiiT~ who does what she wants. Or, you know, because she doesn’t believe in school and legitimately may not have learned said rules.

Our favorite lyric from her new song is — hands down — “I’m just climbin’ on trees and skippin’ my class now.”
You know, partially because it’s sOoOoOo relatable. Partially because Willow, and her 16-year-old brother Jaden, made it pretty clear in that interview with the New York Times that they think formal education is overrated.

As Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s daughter explained in the interview, “I went to school for one year. It was the best experience, but it was the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, ‘Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.’ But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.”
Well, when Willow runs the world (it'll happen one day...), we guess we’ll just use letters to abbreviate entire words and climb trees instead… We encourage you to prepare for Willow’s inevitable world domination by checking out her video below!
