A woman has paid tribute to her late husband after she witnessed him being killed by a shark. He was snorkeling off the coast of Australia at the time.
In a Facebook post, Anne Berthleot allegedly wrote about the incident, "I've lost the man of my life tonight."

Yves, a 50-year-old Frenchman, was attacked on Saturday, May 9, and died after suffering several bite wounds from the bull shark that was believed to be more than three meters — or more than nine feet — in length. Immediate efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
“It was really a savage and sudden attack,” a military police spokesman in New Caledonia — a collection of French territories near the Australian coast — said.
“Most people on board were health workers, the first aid given was significant but the injuries were such that unfortunately there was not much that could be done.”

Sadly, he passed away about 45 minutes prior to paramedics arriving on the scene.
The Daily Mail reports he is survived by his wife, Anne, and one daughter.
Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
