What do you mean? Apparently, Justin Bieber thinks it’s still 2011 because he’s been reaching out to his ex, Selena Gomez. Even though we’re in the year 2017, the former couple is on much better terms. After years dating on-again, off-again, countless songs written about each other, and drama in the media, the two have been caught hanging out — and a a source exclusively tells In Touch how there might be hope for Jelena after all.

The “Fetish” singer revealed earlier that she’d undergone a kidney transplant due to her Lupus. This prompted Justin to call her mom, Mandy Teefey, 41, “to find out what was going on and apologize for the way he treated Selena when they were dating,” says a source. The two singers have been through a lot together. And Selena might be dating The Weeknd but that hasn’t stopped her from dealing with Justin drama. Selena’s account was hacked and filled with nude pics of her ex. But, the pics weren’t new because they had been previously exposed in 2015. The “Sorry” singer opened up a couple years ago when they first hit the Internet.

“The first thing I saw was like the censored one and it had like the black thing over it,” Justin said about the incident. “And I am like, ‘Oh my goodness,’ like I don’t know what this is gonna look like, and then it wasn’t like as bad as I thought it was gonna be. It wasn’t as terrible.”

And this isn’t the first time Justin’s tried to get Selena back. Sources exclusively told In Touch. earlier this year that he wanted to be in a relationship with her again. “He actually called Selena several times when he decided to cancel his tour… He said he wants to spend time with old friends and rest,” the source revealed. “Justin has told close friends that he’s rethinking his life and wants to ‘follow a new path.'” Will that path involve Selena?
