A police officer in Texas has been suspended after horrifying footage emerged showing him wrestling a young girl in a bikini to the ground and later pointing his gun at a group of unarmed teens.

The video was filmed after an incident broke out at Craig Ranch North Community Pool in McKinney, where several calls were made to the police over a group of teens fighting.

“The initial call came in as a disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave,” the department said. “McKinney Police received several additional calls related to this incident advising that juveniles were now actively fighting.

“First responding officers encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands. Nine additional units responded to the scene. Officers were eventually able to gain control of the situation.”

On footage filmed using a camera phone, one of the officers is seen yelling and forcing several of the group of black teenagers to the ground.

Then, after engaging in a verbal argument with several young girls in bathing suits, he grabs one and forces her to the ground, causing her friends to scream in protest. Two male teens approach the scene and the officer rises up, menacingly pulling his gun out of its holster causing the young men to run off.

The cop eventually wrestled the girl onto the grass, forcing her down face-first into the dirt.

In a Facebook post following the uproar around the video, McKinney Police Department said that they “learned of a video that was taken at the scene by an unknown party. This video has raised concerns that are being investigated by the McKinney Police Department. At this time, one of the responding officers has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.”
