This is proof that Santa really does make dreams come true!
Clint Underhill has been stationed in Afghanistan, and was unable to spend the holidays with his girlfriend, Kimberly Roberts, back home in Evansville, Ind.
Despite their distance, Underhill was determined to pop the big question to his love — and he did so with the help of a mall Santa.
While she was holiday shopping with her parents at the local Eastland mall, they stopped by to visit the guy in red and white.
When he asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she replied, “I want my boyfriend to come home from Afghanistan safely.”
Santa then reached behind his chair to retrieve a bouquet of flowers. He got down on one knee and read a letter from Underhill, before presenting her with an engagement ring.
Roberts said yes as tears streamed down her face.
According to 14News, Underhill is set to return to the U.S. in June — and then the pair can properly celebrate.
