Of course, they are down to Earth in completely different ways. Jen is down to Earth in a she-talks-about-loving-pizza-and-falls-on-red-carpets kind of way, while Shai is literally down to Earth.
Don’t get us wrong—she’s perfectly humble—but she’s also a teensy bit of a hippie.
“I make my own medicines; I don’t get those from doctors. I make my own cheese and forage wild foods and identify wild plants,” Shai explained.
And when she isn’t playing forest pharmacist, she’s making other cosmetic essentials.
“I gather my own spring water from mountains every month. I go to a farm to get my food. I make everything from my own toothpaste to my own body lotions and face oils.”

They Totally Have the Same Haircut
Yes, Shai cut her hair first for her role as cancer patient Hazel Grace Lancaster in The Fault in Our Stars, due out this summer. But it’s worth noting that the way she styled her hair changed drastically after Jen made her cut.

They Both Have Great Things to Say About Body Image
In March, the former Secret Life of the American Teenager actress told Marie Claire that she used to struggle with body image.
“My whole life I’ve been so self-conscious about being skinny. And just recently I don’t care anymore.”
Similarly (but also, kinda, conversely), Jen told Barbara Walters that she thinks “it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV.”
You know, it’s easy to overcome your issues with insecurities when you’re successful and gorgeous!

They Were Both Attached to Superhero Flicks
After Jen’s considerable success as Mystique in X-Men: First Class, Shai was cast as Mary Jane in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, opposite Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
Ultimately, she was cut—because it was too hard to introduce a new love interest for Spidey considering the chemistry between Andrew and Emma—but it’s the thought that counts
