Tyler Baltierra Admits to Feeling “Empty” and “Alone” While Catelynn Lowell Sleeps Next to Him
Keep talking mental health! Teen Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra took to Twitter to explain to his fans how empty and alone he felt — while his wife, Catelynn Lowell slept next to him. The cryptic message had Tyler's followers super worried about his mental state as he recently had to carry a lot on his shoulders while Cate was away in rehab seeking help depression and suicidal thoughts. As the tables are turning, Cate is trying her best to publicly support Tyler but she's only receiving even more backlash for her behavior. Shortly after she tweeted a supportive message his way, one person said, "Don’t you 2 live in the same house? Can’t you say this face 2 face instead of on [social media]?" She responded, "He's sleeping so gtfo."
Another person chimed, "It's time for Tyler to go and get help. Marriage is GIVE and take. He needs a mental break from you." Catelynn lashed out again and said, "And he can have that! Y'all are so ignorant."
While Tyler has yet to follow up on his first tweet, this isn't the first time he's opened up about his mental health struggles. The 26-year-old reality star shed some tears on Instagram at the beginning of February while Catelynn was still in rehab.
He told his 2.2 million followers, "Sometimes you just don't even really know what to say to your children. I don't ever cry in front of [my daughter] Nova or anything. I don't want her to feel any of that. You have good days, then you have bad days. And today is just a bad day. I know I'm not the only one feeling like this. So if you're in the same boat as me, just hang in there and [know] you're not alone and talk to somebody."
Tyler and Cate started dating when they were both just 13 years old. At 16, Cate found out she was pregnant with their first daughter Carly — whom they gave up for adoption — which is when the world met the couple on the premiere episode of MTV's 16 and Pregnant. They are now parents to three-year-old Novalee Reign.
