Shut down the stigma! Catelynn Lowell has always opened up about what it's like dealing with a mental health issue — she went to rehab several times to treat depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts — but now, the tables have turned. Tyler Baltierra revealed during the second part of the Teen Mom OG reunion that he has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Watch the video to see what he said about it!

The 26-year-old dad took to Twitter after the episode aired to respond to some fans who praised him for coming out with his story. "Honestly, I wasn't even planning on releasing that info," Tyler admitted. "But once Cate mentioned about my recent diagnosis, I figured 'what the hell?!' Like, why am I so against telling anyone?! It's actually been a little easier to digest since I have been talking about it more. #KeepingtalkingMH."

Not only did the reality star share these intimate details about his own health, but he also talked about moving forward and looking into possible treatment options. "I've been doing non-stop research on the diagnosis, the different remedies to combat the symptoms, [and] how to better understand it," Tyler explained. "I did refuse medication, but only because I wanted to try all of the natural remedies first. It's a journey!"

While this might be the first time Tyler admitted to having bipolar disorder, he's actually hinted at being on the spectrum before. In March 2018, the couple appeared on the Voices of Change 2.0 podcast where Tyler first talked about attempting to take his own life when he was a kid. "At 11, though, that’s when I attempted suicide and failed. I was on anti-depressants a bit," he said.

"I've been diagnosed with depression here and there, whenever I've gone back to therapy and whatnot," Tyler explained. "Recently, I went to a new place and based on a couple of sessions I had with them, they said, 'Look, based off a snapshot of your symptoms, we think you may be on the bipolar spectrum as well.'"
