Tori Spelling is never one to shy away from airing her personal woes on TV — and neither is her mother, Candy!

In her 2013 book, Spelling Like It Is, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum allegedly wrote they were in “financial ruin.”

“No. It’s not true,” Candy firmly denied on the show, adding, “She is very successful.” She then went on to list Tori’s best-selling books, fashion lines and reality shows.

The actress blamed her extravagant upbringing for leaving her with few life skills. (Oh, the #FirstWorldProblems of being late TV mogul Aaron Spelling‘s daughter.)

Candy, who is worth an estimated $600 million, dismissed those claims. “I’d never leave my kids in distress. I’m always there to support her,” she said. “I even bought them a house in Malibu.”
