Tina Fey Talks
Possibility of 'Mean
Girls: The Musical'
Rumor has it one of our favorite flicks might be heading to Broadway!
At last night’s SAG Awards, when asked about the possibility of a Mean Girls Musical, Tina Fey told E! News, "Maybe! We want to. I would love to. I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock and I think Paramount's on board.”
The actress also mentioned that the 2004 flick has a fan in American Idol judge Mariah Carey, adding "maybe she can play Amy Poehler’s part in the musical."

And while we would love to think about who would make up our dream cast for Mean Girls: The Musical, it would be hard to fill the shoes of the film’s original stars.
Amanda Seyfried, who played ditzy “plastic,” Karen Smith, may have showed off her singing chops in the recently Oscar-nominated musical Les Misérables, but she still credits Mean Girls as some of her finest work.
“I've gotten a lot of cool opportunities here and there and I've made some good choices with the help of my amazing team.... I still look back at Mean Girls as my best work," she shares. And we couldn’t agree more!

As far as the role of Cady Heron is concerned, could this be Lindsay Lohan’s opportunity for a comeback? The star recently tweeted about her Mean Girls co-stars while they were co-hosting the Golden Globes, saying “I am grateful to of had the opportunity to work with 2 amazing women who are people i admire, such as Amy Poehler & Tina Fey. Xo.”
It sounds to us like Lindsay’s trying to make nice in case there’s a casting call in the near future! The rest of "The Plastics" and cast have yet to weigh in, but consider us first on line for tickets!
