Even as a teen, Matthew McConaughey was winning awards.
The day after the actor won the Oscar for his role as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club, it emerged he was voted most handsome in his high school yearbook.

Not only did we learn that little nugget of information, but an epic throwback picture of the 44-year-old attending his high school prom also appeared on the internet - and even as a teen his star quality shone through!
Leah Pickett, the niece of Matthew's then-prom date, posted the picture on Twitter yesterday, saying, "My aunt's high school prom date just won an Oscar. Congrats, Matthew McConaughey!"
Swamped with questions about the picture, she later revealed that it was taken in Longview, Texas, where Matthew attended Longview High School and where he received the most handsome accolade in the school yearbook.
And even though more than 20 years have passed, Matthew still has the same dazzling smile and boyish good looks - oh and of course a beautiful lady friend by his side!
Nice to see some things never change.
