The Salvation Army
Last week, “The Dress” took the Internet by storm because of its optical illusion. Is it blue and black? Or white and gold?
Couples broke up. Families stopped talking. Friends became enemies. It was anarchy.
This week, “The Dress” is making headlines yet again — but this time it’s due to The Salvation Army in South Africa using it as a way to spread a message about domestic violence.
In an ad titled, “Why is it So Hard to See Black and Blue,” a bruised-up model is seen wearing the dress in white and gold.
The caption reads, “The only illusion is if you think it was her choice. One in 6 women are victims of abuse. Stop abuse against women.”
