Apparently there’s one advantage to being a Duggar daughter! Jim Bob and Michelle recently revealed the girls have smartphones, while their sons don’t — because the Internet is full of naked ladies and it would just be too darn tempting for the fellas!
“Young men would have more of a struggle seeing bad stuff, so what we’ve done with the smartphones that we’ve had, we’ve actually locked out Safari and any Internet search at all, and then we’ve just had basic apps,” the Duggar family matriarch revealed in an interview with Covenant Eyes.
“We have emails and just the basic things on the phones for the guys. But…even on the maps and things there are some ways to see some bad things, and that’s a struggle.”

We’re not trying to tell anyone how to raise their children, but if your kid is willing to put in the dedication of scouring the navigation app to maaaaybe see some boobs, he kinda deserves to see the boobs…
Anyway, since turning smartphones into, well, basic dumbphones is a lot of hard work, Jim Bob just gives most of his boys a really, really old-school phone.

He explained, “For most of the boys, we have actually gone back to the basic, cheap phone — the 1995 phone. All it has is phone calls and you can text on it.”
Hey, if they have the classic Nokia that everyone had back in the day, they probably have Snake and we’re going to chalk that up as a win.

Anyway, when one of the Duggar kids needs to access the World Wide Web, for schoolwork and what not, they have to do it on the password-protected computer in the middle of the house with the help of an “accountability partner.”
Because, you know, there are some naughty things on the ‘net, like porn and Amber Rose’s Instagram.
Michelle said, “There’s going to be temptation and we explain that to them. Temptations are designed by Satan to distract us from God.”

Meanwhile, here’s a friendly reminder that while you’re busy taking selfies and watching cat videos (and maybe even reading this!) on your smartphone, you could literally be using it to sell your soul, according to Jim Bob.
“It’s so important not to have open Internet that you can go see anything, do anything, any time you want,” the Duggar dad said. “Especially now with the smartphones. They can go off by themselves and take it out in a hurry. It has the potential to steal somebody’s soul.”
