Stephanie Anderson didn’t become the The Biggest Loser — she was sent home last week after Koli convinced her friends that she was manipulating them — but she did change her life and find love with contestant Sam Poueu, which means she’s still very much invested in what happens next. Stephanie, who been giving In Touch readers exclusive insight into every episode, will now be weighing in on life at the ranch from a new perspective. “It’s totally different watching it when I’m not on it, and seeing them all come in after my elimination and hearing Koli say, ‘You’ve been given a gift,’” she tells In Touch. “Of course I’m rooting for Sam, but now it’s not so much watching how my story is being told, but watching the overall picture.”

What did you think of Melissa being shocked that people still weren’t into the gameplay?
She’s the number-one Biggest Loser fanatic, of all the contestants. It’s extremes: You go from Melissa, who’s watched every episode of every season and knows every percentage, to Sam, who had never seen an episode before going on the show. And Melissa is very blunt; she says it like it is. Do I agree with everything she says? No. But do I see her point in saying, “This isn’t about making friends if you want to see yourself in the final four.” People were starting to get it. Koli had gotten it obviously, and one of the reasons I think my situation happened with Drea and Ashley was to get Sam a bit further to help get Koli to the end, which is fine. But at the same time, when you’re in a situation like this, you need people around you who — as Daris says — push you harder, and people whose company you enjoy. And no one really liked Melissa, unfortunately. I liked her personally. Do I like everything about she “played the game”? No, but she made it very clear from the beginning that she was there to play.
She made some very good points in her argument — she’s clearly a good
She was right — Drea is a bigger threat to all of them. The same with
Ashley, who was just starting to find her groove. Sunshine found her groove.
Though we were all friends, they voted me off! Sam was a bigger threat,
because I wasn’t winning challenges; Sam was. I wasn’t helping Koli; Sam
was. And Koli is a huge threat. So they didn’t think with their head, and
that’s what Melissa was saying. Every week matters.
Sam and Koli and Melissa all did secret workouts. Is that allowed?
Yeah, you can work out 24 hours if you want. You obviously need sleep and a
balance, but everyone knows that people may or may not be doing it. People
can sneak equipment into their room. But it doesn’t matter what time of day
you get your workouts in, and as you saw with Melissa, working out at three
in the morning doesn’t necessarily mean a bigger number on the scale. The
weight numbers were really low again this week. It goes to show that the
scale isn’t always a true representation of the amount of effort and blood
sweat and tears that you put into a week. That’s what America doesn’t get to see.
Do you have to let them know if you’re going to sneak off to exercise?
At 1 a.m., the film crew might have still been there. During the middle of the
night, those cameras in the room are always on. Living there was weird. I
still, sometimes, am in a room and think, “Where’s the camera? Oh wait, this is my house!”
At the elimination, Koli said, “As a house, we haven’t been about gameplay.” How did you feel about that?
That made me cringe. It was probably the most upsetting part of the show,
just because of the situation from last week. He made a mistake regarding my situation and Sam and we’ll talk about that when this is over. Until then, I’m still rooting for the Grey Team and Sam obviously. Aside from the
situation with Ashley, Drea and me and with Michael splitting up the teams,
there hasn’t really been gameplay that I know of.
If you had stayed, would you have voted for Drea or Melissa?
If I was still there, and my situation still happened with Drea — because
she basically told me that she never trusted me after Koli got into her head — I truly don’t know. Honestly, I probably would have sent Melissa home though, because I’m not really for people coming back.
