If you’re thinking of being something offensive this Halloween, we here at In Touch Weekly have a friendly suggestion for you — don’t do it.
We’d offer some of the awful things people have come up with — but we’d hate to give anyone any ideas.
Last week, after TMZ shared a story about someone turning Ray Rice’s domestic abuse controversy into a “costume” — by wearing his jersey and dragging a blow-up doll behind him — and the NFL player’s wife and victim, Janay, responded to the story saying, “It’s sad that my suffering amuses others.”

We’d like to applaud Janay for speaking out against the tasteless costume — and just remember, when in doubt, you don’t want to be “that guy.”
Or, you can just learn from these six stars’ mistakes.
For Kate Hudson’s Halloween party, Lily Allen dressed up as Dr. Luke… you know, the producer who Kesha is suing for sexual assault and battery ? Alleging he forced himself on her? And got her drunk so he could take advantage? Yeah… That one.
And in case it wasn’t already tasteless enough, the British singer stated on his nameplate that he was from the “gynecology department.”
Here’s a tip for all our readers — if your costume is making light of violence or rape in any way whatsoever, it’s probably not a great idea to wear it! The more you know!
