Friends and family bid farewell to Joe Giudice on Monday night at the Blu Alehouse in Riverdale, N.J., and featured a mechanical bull, and there was plenty of laughter and tears as Teresa Giudice's husband prepares to begin serving a 41-month prison sentence on Wednesday.
The gathering "was strictly invite-only, and limited to only immediate family and friends,” says an insider. "Teresa didn't leave Joe's side the entire night, they were very sweet together. The mechanical bull was brought in to lighten the mood, and it was a big hit with all of the kids. There were plenty of tears and a lot of laughter. Teresa's toast to Joe was especially sweet as she referenced him as her sweet Joey.

"Gia, their oldest daughter, also made a very touching toast, promising to help look after the family with mom, Teresa, in Joe's absence. The only thing that matters to Joe is that the family is taken care of. He pulled brother-in-law, Joe aside, and made him promise to step in and fill in for him while he is away. Both Joe's were spotted hugging, and wiping away tears," a source tells In Touch Weekly.

Reports that Joe and Teresa spent a romantic weekend away together in Virginia over the weekend are false, the insider insists; they were "going to one of the girl's soccer tournament. There just wasn't enough time for Joe and Teresa to go away alone. It was all about the family in the final days leading up to Joe's surrender," the insider reveals.
Joe's last night at home will be spent with the girls and Teresa. "They are trying to maintain a positive attitude and not talk about Wednesday. Teresa will be cooking one of Joe's favorite meals. Joe doesn't want Teresa to come with him for the surrender to prison."
