Teresa Giudice hasn't visited husband, Joe Giudice, in prison, at Fort Dix, N.J., but In Touch has exclusively learned why the reality star hasn't made the 90-minute drive to the correctional facility.
Joe surrendered to the prison to begin serving the 41-month sentence on March 23, and "Teresa hasn't been approved yet to visit Joe. She would have been at the prison the next day to see Joe, if she had been placed on his visitor list. All of the paperwork has been submitted to the prison on Teresa's behalf. She is just waiting to get the approval, and understands that there is a process. As soon as Teresa gets word she can go, she will be there," a source exclusively told In Touch.
"This could happen in the next fews days or it might take another two weeks."

Last week's issue of In Touch featured an exclusive interview with Teresa and the advice she gave her husband before he went to prison.
Teresa, who was released from prison on Dec. 23, shared her advice to Joe for adjusting to life behind bars.
"Pretty much just to be careful and don’t trust anyone. We both learned that the hard way. He’s a strong guy and I think he’ll be fine — it’s just going to make him a stronger person than he already is," Tre advised her husband.
"There were no cameras in the car [to film Joe's surrender],” family attorney James Leonard previously revealed.
Giudice could be released early with good behavior after 35 months.
