It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 months since Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice surrendered herself and reported to prison. Which means that her 15 months behind bars — which has since been shortened thanks to a two-month early release — is almost over.
And now, a source close to the mom-of-four, 43, tells Radar Online that she will be home by the end of the year and may even be able to spend Christmas with her kids. Even better, she likely won’t have to check into a halfway house before returning home.

“Teresa won’t be required to go to a halfway house because that is typically for those that have been behind bars for a much longer term than the 13 months that Teresa will have served,” the source explains.
“Individuals that go to a halfway house need assistance and to be motivated as they transition back into society. Teresa wasn’t sent away long enough for that to be an issue.”

While she hasn’t been away from society for that long, her sentence definitely feels like an eternity to her family — especially her daughters, Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 6.

In an upcoming special — Teresa Checks In, which will air part one on Bravo on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m. — Gia breaks down in tears while speaking to her mother on the phone.
“My mom doesn’t want me or anyone to get emotional,” the oldest of Tre’s daughters admits. “So I try my best to keep it all together.”
