Teresa and Joe Giudice
Planned to Open Up a
Cupcake Shop Before
Tax Fraud Charges

Life has been anything but sweet for Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice lately, but word on the street is that the couple had plans to open up a cupcake shop prior to being charged with tax fraud.

It was reported that the 41-year-old reality star and bestselling cookbook author had been looking for the perfect location to set up shop, but the recent charges have put her confectionary dreams on hold.

Hmm... we wonder what Teresa's cousin and co-star Kathy Wakile, who just inked a deal for a new all-desserts cookbook, feels about Teresa and Joe's latest business venture?

The Skinny Italian author and her 43-year-old husband were slammed with a 39-count indictment, including charges such as conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, and making false statements on loan applications. If convicted, they each could face up to 50 years in prison.

Though the pair--who have four daughters together--were released on bonds of $500,000 each, a source told In Touch that besides hefty jail time, Joe “could be deported” since he is not an American citizen.

However, Teresa remains adamant that the infidelity rumors surrounding her marriage are false. “Everything's great," she stated. "I'm not a fake person, so if we weren't together than I wouldn't be with him right now."

She also took to her Twitter to thank friends and fans for their support during the tough process.

"I wish I could hug you all right now. Xx," she added.
