Previews for the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG tease that Catelynn Lowell might be suffering from postpartum depression.
Now, In Touch can exclusively confirm that this is in fact true.
“I recognized it nine months after [Novalee, 11 months] was born,” Catelynn told a fan at a book signing in NYC. “It’s a daily struggle.”
She battles panic attacks. “To deal with them, I have to get up and exercise,” she added.

Luckily, she’s been able to lean on husband Tyler Baltierra, 23. “He’s definitely helping me,” she said. "I’m doing much better now."
Catelynn has been open about her ongoing struggle with depression and anxiety in the past. In August 2014, she told In Touch, “My depression and anxiety were so severe, I didn’t want to live another day. I started having severe panic and anxiety attacks in the middle of the night, which led me into a deep depression. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt I’d be better off dead. I needed help.”
