The Teen Mom 2 reunion special was particularly emotional for two of the show’s stars — Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans — as both women opened up about individual battles with bipolar disorder.

Dr. Drew asked the reality starlets if they're concerned about passing the mental disorder, which is characterized by extreme shifts between elevated moods and depression, on to their sons — as the condition is considered highly hereditary.

Shockingly, neither Kailyn nor Jenelle expressed concern about the genetic component of the disorder. Rather, they had similar worries about how their behavior may set a poor example for their children.

“My biggest fear is if I’m acting out or something, [Isaac] seeing it or Lincoln seeing it,” Kail told Dr. Drew.

“Because I feel like he could pick up on my temper or something, even if he doesn’t have the disorder and just do it because that’s what he saw. If he is diagnosed then we’ll deal with it and figure it out.”

Jace and Kaiser’s mom had a similar outlook about controlling her anger around her boys.

“I just think it’s very important that you watch your temper and anger around your children, because like Kail said they can see it and they’ll act out the way you do,” she said.
