They're at it again! Jenelle Evans' tumultuous relationship with her mother Barbara Evans has played throughout all eight seasons of MTV's Teen Mom 2, but there's so much more that went on between them when cameras weren't rolling. Jenelle recently dished on all of her family's deepest, darkest secrets in her new tell-all book Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, but Babs is denying everything.
In an excerpt from her book, Jenelle recounts the moment that she thinks led to Babs' divorce from Jenelle's biological father, Robert Evans. Jenelle claims that her mother kicked her father out after an incident where he fell down the stairs while holding Jenelle, but Babs doesn't think that Jenelle would have been old enough to remember or really understand what went on between her and her ex-husband.
“She doesn’t even know half the story of her life!” Barbara told Radar Online. “She was only three when her father left. So I’m getting a little sick and tired of [Jenelle dishing on family drama.]" But in her book, Jenelle seemed to admit that she was too young to remember the kind of person her father was, and she said that her siblings have told her that he was a "mean drunk" who allegedly used to physically abuse Barbara during their marriage.
Barbara also addressed her 25-year-old daughter's allegations that she was tricked into handing over custody of her son Jace. Jenelle claims that Babs told Jenelle that she should spend the night out with her friends to relax and by the time she came home, Child Protective Services were waiting for her.
Even though Jenelle tried to explain the situation, Barbara was awarded temporary custody of Jenelle's son and their legal battle over Jace continues to this day. But Babs slammed those claims, telling Radar, “I’m not gonna look like the bad person here because I’m not.”
