Everybody’s favorite whirlwind of fins and destruction is set to reign terror once again!Sharknado, a SyFy movie about a literal tornado of sharks terrorizing Los Angeles became an instant cult favorite on social media last month with over 1.4 million total viewers. Syfy announced the Sharknado sequel July 17, just days after the initial installment hit the web.
The Asylum's David Latt, who serves as a producer on the new franchise noted that they have yet to pitch Syfy the story for the sequel but the preliminary idea includes New York City as a setting and, of course, lots of sharks. But will it also include Tara Reid?

Reid played star Ian Ziering's estranged ex-wife in the campy hit but was not among the body count in the first movie.Latt told reporters that the rumors Tara was hard to work with are completely false. "She showed up to play. Knew her lines. Was into this crazy, silly film. No drama.”"Tara is invited back," Latt asid, blowing off rumors that the actress would not be asked to return for a second installment of the franchise.The real question: can Reid survive yet another Sharknado?
