Australian surfer Mick Fanning was competing in the J-Bay open in South Africa on Sunday when all of a sudden a shark attacked him.
In the scary moment that was broadcast on live TV, Mick is seen on his surfboard as a shark approaches him from behind. (Some outlets are reporting he was attacked by two sharks.)

Luckily, he managed to fight it off and came away unharmed.
“It just kept coming at my board, I was just, like, kicking and screaming. I just saw fins; I didn’t see the teeth. I was waiting for the teeth to come at me,” the professional surfer, 34, told reporters following the incident.
We have to ask: What’s with all the freakin’ shark attacks lately???
