There's a new cowboy in the world!
Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles welcomed a new baby boy, named Magnus Hamilton, with hubby Justin Miller on Dec. 6.
"We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family,” the pair said in a statement.
Magnus is the first child for the couple, who met in 2006 and dated for two years before becoming engaged. The couple then married in a small Tennessee ceremony in 2011.
If Jennifer’s close relationship with her own mother is any indication of how she’ll be as a mom, we have a feeling the "Stay" crooner will be nothing short of fantastic.
“The one person I make sure I talk to is my mom—every day, no matter what,” Jennifer previously admitted of keeping up with family while she’s on the road with the band’s other half, Kristian Bush. “I try to travel to see [my family] or have them meet me, but mostly it’s through phone calls and e-mail."
And Kristian has made sure to weigh in on his bandmate’s new life as a mom, too, offering up some worthwhile parenting advice.
“What you need to do is figure out what to do the day after [you have a child], because you’re only pregnant for nine months, but you are a parent for the rest of your life,” Kristian says, adding that motherhood could provide them a great opportunity for new tunes. “The songs you write on this side of being a mom are different from the songs that you write on the other side of being a mom.”
Congrats to the new parents... we can't wait to meet him!
