Just in time for the inauguration, several of Hollywood’s brightest stars
send their best wishes to the new President!
Kiefer Thinks he’s the Real Deal
“David Palmer is a character; Obama is a real, live man,” points out Kiefer Sutherland, of comparing Obama to 24’s former president. “Obama has a seemingly strong sense of integrity and a strong perspective of right and wrong. I just wish him unbelievable support to move forward.”
Jamie Has a Sense of Duty
Jamie Foxx wants to honor the president by following his good example. “African-American males have a huge responsibility to make sure we do the right thing and cut out all the madness,” he says. “We don’t have an excuse. We can’t say it’s the man’s fault when you are the man.”
A Dream Come True for Alicia
“It used to be all about race in this country, and it’s still about race. But now it’s more about people wanting to be positive and back in control of their lives and their country,” says Alicia Keys. “A friend of mine said, ‘We’re living Martin Luther King’s dream.’”
Denise admires Michelle, Too
“I’m so excited about the change,” Denise Richards tells In Touch, adding that Michelle Obama has earned her fashion icon status. “She is a class act. Especially with our economy, she has been very cautious about how to dress on a budget and that’s very inspiring.”
